Im so glad this board is moderated…anyone could come in here and post whatever. I could claim that a certain theatre has dead corpses stowed in the projection booths, and that the smell of the fetid decaying bodies makes the movie expeirence nasueaus. BTW, my apparent inability to READ caused me to mistake the word “pop” as “poop” which added a whole new dimension to how it came across to me.
THEATRELOVINGGUY couldnt you have handled your complaints in a more professional way than posting on here? And no the entire staff is not under the age of 25.
OVERTHEHEDGE We DO get some older people who come several times a week, but you have to understand, we are a smallish town without malls etc. so there isnt really a lot to do.

Owner Blames Employee Thefts For Theater’s Closing

RIVERSIDE, Ohio — The owner of a suburban Dayton movie theater said he has shut the place down because of rampant stealing by employees.
Joe Kinney describes the thefts as “off the hook” at Page Manor Cinema in Riverside, so he closed the second-run theater on Saturday after more than two years in business.
He said that over the past two years, he had to fire more than 30 employees who made off with money, as well as a pinball machine.
Kinney was the latest to operate the Page Manor, which originally opened in 1967.
Huh? Thats about as sorry of an excuse Ive ever heard. I highly doubt a place could go through that many “stealing” employees in such a short ammount of time. I mean what are the odds that he’d “just happen” to hire that many criminals? And if he were that rare 1%, how incompetent do you have to be to not start doing criminal checks or impliement some sort of safeguard the first time you suspect something?

The people who are running now are just leasing it.
They want to buy it but dont know if the owner will sell it. hes weird.

The Vouge Theatre reopened at 7:20 tonight to a fully sold out (500+) showing of Pirates of The Carribean.A second show follows at 10:20.

Vogue is scheduled to reopen under new management on July 6th
It is open again under AA Cinema.

Is this the theatre that was owned by Harry Burkhart quite a while ago?
