They are showing Star Wars EP7 every day through Jan 14 at 6:30pm. There is no online presence for the theater but you can get info via phone (936) 544-7099. They seat 342 people downstairs. The balcony is being used as their DCP projection booth.
I keep reading that this theatre only ran American independent films for that one brief year in 1965, but other data shows they ran this style of programming into the 70’s. see this D Magazine listing for “New American Cinema” from 1975

this was indeed the best theater in Dallas during the 80’s and 90’s in terms of presentation. Were making some strides down in Oak Cliff to try and get close!

a changeover 35mm system was installed in June of 2011 in the original projection booth
