By the ‘50s the Leland had become home to exploitation and borderline artsy skin flicks, along with the occasional racy European import that our local Catholic diocese told us we were forbidden to see.
Spiffy, roomy, somewhat soulless, this is currently my favorite local movie house. All-digital system took some getting used to for this old fart, but it’s pretty impressive. Comfy seats with retractable armrests a nice touch too.
