I saw a lot of movies here. We had to be careful not to catch the bridge in the summer or you could miss the beginning of the movie! An especially long wait were the fishing boats. The postcard shows just how it looked when I first went there in the mid 1950’s.
I remember “The Colossus of New York” played here in the 1950’s. Fun movie for a little boy. In the 1970’s they showed X rated movies. It closed at the end of December 1976. I am posting a 1914 photo of the theater with its “blade”.
