I have been to the Ritz Theatre numerous times. My sister & I went to Sat. mantinees in the 50’s and possibly early 60’s. I remember the organ and the newsreels and the cartoons at the beginning of the movies. I believe the admission was 25 cents. It was a landmark and was a sad day that it was torn down. I remember we would have an annual Halloween parade and we would end up in the Ritz theatre where they announced the winners of the costume contests. What fond memories. Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures to share. Also, I remember my Mom & Aunts would go to a movie on Mon evenings and collect a dish/plate each Mon until they had a complete set. So funny how we remember those little things.
