  • <p>It’s the April 22, 1977 launch of the Malco Razorback Twin which would have a nearly identical sister cinema located in Springdale within a year. The Razorback Twin had seating of about 600 (294 in each identical auditorium) at opening. It was Malco’s fourth twin in Fayetteville with the then operational Malco Twin Cinema (1970), Malco Mall Cinema (1971) and the U•ARK (twinned in 1971 and closed by Malco in 1974 though open as an independent repertory theater when the Razorback Twin opened). It was positioned as Malco’s “family” theater with Disney films and PG offerings.</p>
