This isn’t a picture of the cinema. This building had been Hood’s since I was old enough to remember in the late ‘80s, and probably significantly longer than that.
The Meramec Cinema was about 50 yards to the left of Hood’s, adjoining the Wal-Mart parking lot. It was built in the same style as Hood’s, though, but was smaller and had red walls instead of tan.
Aldi now stands on the former cinema site.
