Oshkosh Theatre
Its opening day in Oshkosh on February 6, 1927 for the largest movie theater in all of Oshkosh (and possibly one of the largest movie theater sin Wisconsin at the time), known as the Oshkosh Theatre.
With an estimate of $800,000 and an original total capacity of 2,000 seats, the Saxe Amusement Company opened a grand total of 11 theaters throughout 1927 and this was one of them. The Oshkosh is the 44th theater to open by the Saxe chain. The Saxe Brothers (Thomas and John Saxe) are partial owners of First National Pictures, who would later be controlled by Warner Brothers a year later.
There is not a lot of info I can find about its original materials, but there was a lot about its grand opening schedule.
See the grand opening ad I posted for complete lineup.
