I seen it on the show yesterday. Seems it was a waste of time, as they did not turn off the lights to the place to they chose not to investigate it. Why would they even bother including it in the show? To get viewers, thats why!
A great looking exterior. The WaterWinterWonderland pic doesn’t do it justice. The marquee looks great lit up inside. Sadly I couldn’t see the interior as I was walking/performing in a parade.
I doubt the concept would work here, karaoke is not very popular, and I don’t think Americans like to rent things out and go through the hassle, and we aren’t aas big on video games as they are.
Just drove by this theater today, I love the exterior, the archtiecture on the exterior is great. The photo above doesn’t do it justice, and it has a better looking marquee to it.
I never said there was nothing wrong with seeing a second run movie, I just feel it would do its best if it did first run, plus there is no first run movie theaters within the next 5-10 miles.
no, no, it takes away for the experience of the theater, not the whole movie experience itself. It seems second run doesn’t fit the State-Wayne very well. I guess you have to be there to understand.
A new $500,000 renovation is coming to the theater, most are good.
Ceramic tile in lobby with theate marquee imprinted on it (believe they got the idea from Civic in Farmington)
New doors to replicate the original art deco doors (I always wanted this, I support it 100%)
Dragon painting in the one theater expanded (its an ugly thing)
Updated and extended concession stand.
Other upgrades like bathrooms.
I believe that is all that they are going to do. I wish they restored the marquee, it is a little rusted.
The theater will be closed sometime this month,
and take 2 months to complete.
Urban Explorers such as myself always think there is always a way in, and there usually is. They most likely got in at a different location.

It appears the theater may be somewhat intact.
lol good information John. I will soon update my information on my site of the two theaters:
http://www.snweb.org/loc.php
Suprizingly this theater is owned by Mike Illitch, the one who owns the United Arists and Adams, and lets them sit and rot.
The interior reminds me of the Michigan Theatre in Detroit.
This was Rapp & Rapp’s first theater, and they had a non-existance of a lobby.
happy thanksgiving to you too Robert, and everyone else!
They do have a video of the Mishler Here

This theater is owned by a church, but still remains vacant. A message for a party remains on the marquee.
great to see you made it to the site John!
It’s Sean from WaterWinterWonderland.

Drove by the theater the other day, too bad it doesn’t have a marquee, from the exterior it doesnt seem like it would be an elaborate theater.
