Doing some quick research I came upon the Ogunquit Playhouse, which is a long time, live, summer theater. The original location was the one pictured on Shore Road above. I came upon a picture of the original Playhouse, which was a one story building with a brick façade next to a two story, white frame building. This is the spot. The Playhouse has subsequently relocated.
Nowhere in the Playhouse history on their home page do they indicate other than live performances were presented. So……..
Uploaded an image of the theater. The source was purported to be Cinema Treasures, except it wasn’t on Cinema Treasures for the Marble Hill. So who knows where it appeared before now.
Uploaded a photo of the entrance. Remember the day when the name of the theater was displayed not the parent company? And with all the changes happening the updates must cost a pretty penny.
Looking at the photos section the one says it was once called the Major Theater.
And when you look at the shape of the marquee in that picture do any locals notice the similar shape to the Bloor and the former theatre on the same street?
Uploaded several photos. I question the address in the overview since I saw it referenced online as 140 North Main Street. Any Jerseyites can confirm or refute?

Uploaded a photo of the entrance. This is an older theater than the nearby Carmike 12 but the two venues coordinate their product.
Or it’s one of those situations where one side of the road has one name, the other a different one. There are a couple of those in my area.
Uploaded three pictures from the Sawston Cinema, Sawston Village College site: exterior, interior, article on repurposing of the theater.
raysson, care to share with us in the photos section?
Ken McIntyre, your link no longer works. Could you find the image again but put it in the photos section this time?
Theater reopened for it’s brief summer season on June 19th. Of the four auditoriums, Number 1 is NOT handicapped accessible.

Premiere did reopen it after “lovingly” renovating it.

In the absence of an actual image I’ve uploaded a photo of the complex under construction.
The address within the Meads is actually 19 Kingsmead.
Uploaded a current photo of the Picture Theatre, sometimes referred to as the Picture House.

Historic Toronto has a detailed history on this theatre which was located at 1154-1156 St. Clair. I’ve uploaded a photo from that site.
