The doors onto 7th were open today and the inside is a building site nearing completion into what could very well be a store!? From the other side of the street you can see building work in progress on the first floor also.

A Feb 2008 photo of the Playhouse. From this distance it looks OK but a closer look will show you that it has been left to the elements of late. I spoke to the car park attendant and he said there was all probability that the theatre would be demolished this year!!! i walked away stunned! View link

The worst theatre seats EVER!
I’ve seen 3 or 4 musicals here and it really is a gorgeous theatre, inside and out.
What a gorgeous exterior to this cinema, yet again its a shame what we got left with and now even that has gone!

I was in Hong Kong 3 weeks ago and it looks like the complex has gone so it closed before Feb 28th 2008.
