Starting on Black Friday, the new teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be shown before every movie at this theater according to AMC’s Facebook. No showtimes for the weekend until tomorrow night so tickets will probably sell fast for die hards to buy a ticket and leave the theater in droves just as they did with Phantom Menace back in 1998. This is one of 30 theaters nationwide that are screening the preview before its wide release next month as well as online.
BTW came back from seeing “Interstellar” in IMAX. While the movie looked good with its amazing SFX, the story was confusing and the sound mix was terrible. Too loud at all to understand what the characters are saying.
I tend not to take pictures inside each as it would take too much time and it has to be before the movie starts. Is there a way to upload pics via ct by phone?
Interstellar is playing in 35mm at this theater in addition to the X Plus Atmos digital version. X Plus was installed in one of the theaters a few years ago.

Come next year more Imax venues including this one will upgrade to laser projection. The first theatres will have it by the time the final hobbit movie is out.
To many sci fi fans this was the theater to see the original Star Wars movie trilogy in Manhattan on one big screen. I always seen this theater on TV. Imagine if it still showed movies rather than be converted into a live venue for concerts and special events. Happy belated 40th to this theater and 10th for its reincarnation as its current form next year.

it’s fake. Someone probably spammed the facebook page. There is no ATMOS in this theater.

The Clearview sign is no longer on the exterior and a giant amc logo is on the top of the building.

I never been to this theater but I suggest sitting in the middle of the seats with the surround sound enveloping you and for the best picture quality.

Advance tickets on sale for hunger games mockingjay part 1 as well as a marathon the day before it opens. I can’t wait to see interstellar in Imax.
