You don’t have to finish the order to see the price.

What is the current range of ticket prices here? It’s information not readily available at their website. It seems that you actually have to start placing an order before they tell you what each ticket will cost.

So the largest screen in terms of seats is the digital one and has been that way since it opened nearly 20 years ago. Does AMC Empire still project film on occasion or is it all digital now?

By my count, the total number of seats in this theatre (not including wheelchair spaces, but including wheelchair companion spaces) is now 3699. IMAX: 312, Dolby: 221, Prime: 175 and from 50 to 371 in the rest.

Same for Reald 3d. Don’t forget Prime is also in this theater too. Not too far away from this theater, a digital billboard caught fire but no one was hurt!!

The ushers don’t clean the regular auditoriums. I saw the 1240 show of “The Intruder” in theatre 21, the theatre was dirty. Seats are busted. What Inside Edition show about AMC dirty theatres, it still true.

Unless you pay big bucks for IMAX or DOLBY CINEMA, AMC doesn’t care about the regular auditoriums.

I can’t believe audiences are so stupid to accept such bad presentation. Demand a refund!!

moviebuff82, the Regal across the street is just as bad and I own stock in Cineworld.

This is why I avoid theatres like this…amc is known for issues like this and hopefully they fix stuff once Endgame opens this weekend as this theater shows its age.

Saw “VICE” there today. I was on the top floor and the masking was wrong for the whole movie. If I wanted to complain I would have missed half the movie because there was no staff for four floors.
If you try to complain online it does not allow it unless you bought the ticket online. Ridiculously stupid!

A report on the grotesque conditions – vermin and uncleanliness – were reported on Friday’s (2/1/19) Inside Edition.

Apart from the Paris, does any Manhattan cinema still have screen curtains?

@ridethectrain

Thanks for sharing those photos. What are those seat transducers like in AMC Prime? AMC Dolby Cinema doesn’t feature those, does it?

Just uploaded photos of the new AMC Prime Auditorium Screen #18. Theatre has Dolby Atmos, no Dolby Vision

As a regular here I can tell you that there ARE never ending escalators. There are NO bed bugs. Never have been.

When i first heard about this theater I thought it was a new theater built from the ground up, upon reading stuff about it online i knew that the original theater became the lobby when it moved to the left and 25 screens were added to the building. It remains the largest multiplex in the tri-state area with the most screens and the busiest theater in the USA. It is also notorious for its never ending escalators and bed bugs.

Willburg145….. have you gone through the Photos section for the Empire. I know the iconic Diane Arbus balcony shot is there and possibly others.

Shame there are no pictures of the interior during its heyday.

I saw the new IMAX laser projector with First Man last night. Some very impressive images, though I still think with theater size and design that Lincoln Square is the best.

Eltinge was the name prior to Laffmovie. At that time, there was a beloved “legit” Empire, which was in the midst of a record-breaking run of “Life With Father.”

It was the Laffmovie from 1942 to 1953. It was the Empire before and after.

What year did LaffMovie become the Empire?

xbs2034

Yes, it opened with Venom this past weekend. I want to see the system, and will probably check it out with First Man (it won’t have the same effect as filling Lincoln Square’s massive screen, but I’ve seen lots of films on laser there already)
