If my memory serves me,during the 70’s the Teck was having trouble getting first run films because the distributors were playing them in the suburban plexes.
The Teck began showing B movies, R rated adult films, and martial arts films.
The theater in Niagara Falls opened as a 16mm house but later was converted to 35 mm. It eventually became an adult cinema and closed in 2003. Today it is used as a retail store
There is a Dustin Hoffman film festival scheduled here for this summer. Seeing movies like The Graduate in this classic theatre will be a memorable experience.

It is nice to see the theatre is being used.
Part of the “Welcome” sign is still on the marquee.
It’s too bad that this theatre closed. I think the nearest indoor theatre is the Palace in Lockport. There is also the Sunset Drive-in in Middleport.
I think the church was renting space for use on Sunday.
Is this theatre still open?

The Colvin theatre in Buffalo, NY also had an apartment where the theatre manager lived.
I had the opportunity to tour the projection booth. The projectors still use carbon arc bulbs which project a better quality film.
