Opened on 29th May 1953 with a Walt Disney cartoon(“Practical Pig”), a Bugs Bunny cartoon(“Knight-mare hare”), “Angel face” and “Off limits”.
The former ticket office and kiosk building (20 South Western Highway) is now a sporting goods store(Jack F Rickett’s & co).

The top of this building in the middle says established 1920(?).
Address is 76 Austral Terrace. The building is now a toy store(Toy Box),(and possibly also the supermarket next door to the left(IGA)?).
Reopened as Showtown USA Drive-in on 30th May 1968 with “Bonnie and Clyde” and “The Naked runner”.
Closed in 1980. Screened adult movies in it’s later years.
