The Map shows the Southern United States, Central America, and even the Caribbean, but only as far East as the Dominican Republic. I could find nothing on Norarte except Plaza Norarte which is not the same thing.
AGR, Cinema Treasures in it’s infinite wisdom, decided that when a theater was added an address should be in the header and it should be able to located on the Google Map. It therefore on the Add A Theater Form has spaces for the Address, City, State/Province, Country, and Postal Code. This isn’t meant just for local folks, but so that anyone in the world will be able to find a theater! What use is a bogus address in the header?
Hopefully Cinema Treasures will be around long after we have all gone to that Great Theater In The Sky. Perhaps someday after we are all gone someone will want to write a book about ALL the theaters that had been in Puerto Rico. In doing research Cinema Treasures would be a great resource, but “Going to Hato Rey from Buchanan or Guaynabo on Roosevelt Avenue, you see the Marti on the right as soon as you reach the De Diego intersection. Is is right there. Only a blind person would miss it.” That’s not really very helpful to that researcher years from now AFTER IT HAS BEEN TORN DOWN! It might be good enough for a few locals, but NOT for everyone on Puerto Rico or the rest of the World, THINK BIG!
As for me, I love Puerto Rico, so be a little more kinder and gentler. I’m now 47 miles south of Downtown Chicago, Illinois. My wife is not well so I can no longer go down to Puerto Rico and follow your I’m sure great directions. I may never get down there again. The ONLY way I can find this theater is on the MAP and that is the reason I ask for an address, that is as close as I can get to the theater.
Robert, Thanks for adding all these theaters in Puerto Rico. When you click on the Map is it anywhere close to the theater? My guess is the theater is around the area of Plaza Las Americas Mall Shopping Center??
To try to be as helpful as posssible to everyone in locating a theater with a good address here is what I do. There might be a better way, but before I add a theater I just click on any theater on Cinema Treasures and then click on Map and type in the address I have and click on search to see what Google does. Sometimes it’s OK, but lot’s of times I have to play around with the address to finally get the right location. Lots of times I end up just using crossroads. Then I have to remember to write it down so that when I add the theater I have the address.
I don’t think the style would have been Pueblo Moderne. That style is to “American”.
Domingo, Thank You for adding this theater. It brings back memories of charming historic Cadiz. Most folks don’t know that some of Christopher Columbus voyages started from Cadiz or of the great beaches in Cadiz.
Open ~1930-~1955 approximate? Can anyone verify the exact dates?

Here’s how it got the name Trails End. In order to get cattle to the East, Cattle Drives from ranches in Texas went overland on the Chisholm Trail to Abilene, Kansas, the beginning of the railway, then the cattle could be shipped Eastward. Abielene was the Trails End.
Abilene was the town in which President Dwight D. Eisenhower went to Elementary and High School and so he chose that the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum be located in Abilene. The burial site for “IKE” and Mamie are also located there.
Life’s too short, Yes the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) is the PX/BX/Exchange, but it is also a lot more depending on the size of the military instalation. Vendors would be a little different on Marine Corps, Navy and Coast Guard Bases and the New Freedom Center at Fort Bliss will really have some new vendors.
Things have changed a lot from what a PX used to be. To give you an idea of what the AFFES might have on a base here is what they have spread around Fort Bragg and adjacent Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina, it’s one of the largest exchanges in the world. Remember they are serving a population of 29,000 just on Fort Bragg, not counting Pope AFB , PLUS Families or Retired who can use the facilities.
