It closed oct 12th 1980, but not much else is known except for that it was turned into a church for all people, but when? by 1987 it was demolished. I wonder how long the church lasted from ?? and would love to see some recent photos from the late 70’s for the theater..
It was knocked down, now a K-mart stands in it’s place. 95 was it’s last year. Check out the photo section to see all the cool movies that played here…
Narrowed it down today. Looks like the last or one of the last movies shown here was Strange Invaders with nancy allen and paul le mat. Last listing was Thursday October 20th 1983..
Would have loved the seen “Dawn of the Dead ” with “Halloween” on this big screen which played here in May of 79. then dawn , lasted another week on a double bill with the Exorcist..
wow, saw that article and it showed the screen room with the seats. I wonder how much run down it looked in it’s last year 1980, which it shown horror movies only.. If anyone can find any photos from 78-80 that would be cool..
Ok, went over to cinema tour and theres pictures of it still being open as of May 1993, one of the movies showing is Falling Down. so not sure how much longer it lasted after that..
not sure what year it closed. but through my research iam seeing the it was open up until summer 0f 1983, trading places show here.
Other films that shown here were –
Happy Birthday to Me May 1981,
The Boogey Man, 1980
The Funhouse March 81
An officer and a gentlemen, 1982. and Battle Beyond the Stars 1980.

Funny, in 1980 (May), There was an ad in the sunday paper advertising Friday the 13th and it lists concordville as one of the theaters getting it the following friday, but concordville never did end up getting it at all..
Theater shown mostly the current crop of horror films that came through town in 1980.. among them
Don’t go in the house.
The shining. Friday the 13th, Zombie. He knows your alone. Silent Scream. and Prom Night.
Theater showed x rated movies on a big single screen.
I dont think it made it out of the 80’s, Was a lot of things after theater closed.. A gym and a salvation army type thrift way.
