The Fox is going to be a fantastic theater when it gets finished. They are spending big bucks to make this theater a real showplace.

That’s the late Dave Fazende on the far left in the striped shirt. The man in the blue shirt is an owner of A Theater Near You company but I’ve forgotten his name. This was shortly after Fazende’s company, Oasis Entertainment, had taken over from A Theater Near You. Before Jeff Brein’s Faraway Entertainment took over.
Looks interesting in that the projection equipment is all connectorized to make it easy to swap the machines around for either indoor or drive-in operation. Notice the outline on the floor showing where to put the pedestal for the drive-in operation.
Markp: I agree. Parking standards (that have been around for years) dictate parking spaces to be 9 feet wide by 18 feet long. And Walmarts have fully open/unrestricted restrooms.Drive-ins should be allowed to operate normally and at full capacity.

I guess the theater owners must have thrown in the towel. Google now lists it as “permanently closed”.

Looks like the surround speaker wiring was done in conduit. Must be a local regulation.

On the news yesterday, they mentioned the Cinerama is closed, possibly never to re-open.
