Today it is Beggars Pizza.
The building was originally built in 1885 per the Box Office article about the 1974 remodel linked below.
So a theatre may not have been the original tenant, unless it was for stage plays or a hall of some kind.
This Instagram post shows the recreation in Italy of the terra cotta face that was removed.
