In my days with Loews we had our conncession girls trained to ask if the patrons want “Butter Flavoring” since it was not really butter and to avoid any lawsuits.
One of these plaques was in the Loews Vendome Nashville, Tennessee, this theatre burned in August 1967,did not know what happened to this one, I knew of one from the Loews Richmond that the current owner wanted $500.00 for.
I agree Mike, but some folks have truly never seen a Big Screen,so maybe the larger screens will make a comeback.Of course with most people watching movies on their cell phones, computers,i-pods and whatever, else, any screen would seem large.
A quick shot of this theatre and the Apollo can be seen in the movie,The Buddy Holly Story before the scene were Bubby and the Crickets performed at the Apollo.
