The theatre shows up again in the news show “48 Hours.” A tracking shot follows one of the show’s participants as he walk past the front with the marquee lighted up.
This theatre reopened August 28 2018 under new ownership. It is now the Emagine Geneva Lakes and has its own CT page under Lake Geneva Wisconsin theatres.
It appears that blackout covers were applied to the marquee because of wartime restrictions again unnecessary nighttime lights.
That date for the picture is incorrect. “The Furies” was released in 1950. The automobiles in the picture date from the late 1940s and early 50s.

The building at that address is a Quonset hut. Very popular for theatres post-WWII.
