The only person I know that could answer this would Nick in Tampa, but I haven’t heard from him since early March. He did the great story on the DALE MARBY and 20th Century Drive-ins in your city.
yeah, it really is a nice location about 13 miles off 1-20,but about 40 miles from my house.Took the kids a few times. I wrote a feature article on the DRive-ins in Augusta for a free news weekly here.I am sure you have those kinds of papers in Nashville.they tend to go after the younger crowd of readers. The Big-mo was included by another writer.
I have been inside and long time ago the theatre floor was leveled off for businesses that used that space. SO inside it really looks like a hardware store could be there. I never got to the booth, but i think some of the equipment might still be there.
April 26 1951 ,really going back, and i know it drives some of you NUTS,but THE BIG-MO is playing “NANCY GOES TO RIO” Since reopening in the late 90’s on opening night 429 cars crammed the lot.In a 200 car drive-in.
I think in the late 80’s there was a Town Center at Cobb. that was a STOREY THEATRE.if we are even talking about the same location. So many screens in Atlanta.
I don’t understand why we need a email when you and TLSLOEWS and me talk theatres. This is what CT is for,I mailed the question ED BLANK asked above our chatter about three movies that played at the IMPERIAL. IF anyone would know Bill would. He can send the answer by mail and i can type it on the IMPERIAL.
All it says when i look for it is NO RESULTS. Maybe i got an old computer,OR i don’t know how to use the dang thing.
It is not listed under Newest Theatres? That is what i am checking.
Great.Simply,Great.

The BLACK RIVER Drive-in was parking 600 cars at one time and was owned in 1956 by Sylvan Leff.
I can get any facts you want on just have to ask Sean when i see him.
My son Sean worked at EVANS STADIUM 14.It was 12 screens when it opened and became Stadium seating when Regal opened a 20 plex about 8 miles away.
You know really none of those girls worked with me,so they can not really tell anything. Not even Cathy.

Is it on Cinema treasures? I looked under Georgia Theatres and never found it.

I drive by there quite a bit and have tried until I am blue in face to get these folks to look into Cinema Treasures and answer questions.
THat is okay,my dad says only ROgers' that have a “D” in the name are DEMOCRATS.He is from East Tenn.
In keeping with the tradition of family films, “DOUG’S FIRST MOVIE” plays at the BIG-Mo. Once the kids fall asleep mom and dad can watch “ENTRAPMENT”.

June 4 1999. Friday, Saturday and Sunday Now Showing
TWIN DRAGONS and NEVER BEEN KISSED. Another strange double feature at so many Drive-ins.

What great little theatre. I would love to visit it if it was closer to EAST TENN.
Future was here when the first 10 12 14 16 24 screen theatres popped up. Like I said a hundred times glad i got out in 1984.
THe more I read that your BUSINESS AGENT was quite SPINELESS!!!
Come on Wade, you can do better than that. Heck, I can write an intro for the place right now having never been there.
Tlsloews says above that we are EMAIL on CT. It would cost more money to email the same stuff.
