What ever became of the former WSB radio broadcaster who played the organ at the Fox, or of Jay (I can’t recall his last name) who was the organist at the pizza parlor over on Franklin Road? Is Joe Patten still with us?
The Perimeter Pointe opened sometime in 1998 and was part of the United Artist circuit. I think Regal remodeled the multiplex and installed the stadium seating when it acquired the lease sometime during the early twenty-first century.
The Metropolitan must have been long gone before 1960. I wasn’t aware there ever existed another theatre of this size in the Atlanta area other than the Fox, Rialto, Erlanger, Loews or the Paramount. Any idea as to its exact location, when it was closed/demolished and what ever became of the organ?
Tried and did not succeed in that I have too little information as to where it was located. The only locating information I have to date is that it was located somewhere on Canton Highway.

It opened in or around 1970 and has a seating capacity of approximately 700.
The Volunteer Theatre isn’t currently listed on Cinema Tresures. Do you have any information on it?

The cinema in this photo was not the 10th Street Art, but rather a strictly porno venue set up in what was previously a storefront retail space.
