Slight Correction: “Anglo Scottish Cinema and Variety Theatres Ltd”., Was the original ABC Company around 1928-29 Anglo@s Parent compant British International Pictures Changed its name to “Associated British Picture Corporation” which then changed the cinema Co to “Associated British Cinemas” A New Share Issue was done at the same time. It was All founded by a John Maxwell a Scots solicitor by trade.. nothing to do with Daily Mirror Maxwell. I did have the original Prospectus, but it was put in a safe place.. by mother :o(

Trying to make out the sound head on Projection Equipment is It a BTP soundhead and a Kalee 11 Head.. I had this system in “The Plaza Bromyad” in the early 70’s
Unusual Is that Roland Satchwell was an active Director until 1945, when a New company was formed to take over the Avion and buy the Dale Willenhall from the Estate of Norah Tiler..
A reminder Satchwell designed the Alexandra Theatre Birmingham… which not being a Cinema is not listed here

Hi Keith You are correct… I live in Walsall and my family had interests in the Walsall Theatre Company known as WTC.. The Palace had a sign on the side of building “The Palace Electric Thatre” Home of Moving Talking Films… Hmm Giving my age away…

Strange… Being as it was a Cinema from the 1920. It do’s not need Planning Permission. I had a similar case in the 1990’s..

Interesting Name… Its Welsh.. Bryn means Hill or mont Mawr means Big or Great… There must have been settlers from Wales…
