Saw many movies at this theater, I grew up right there behind the Pepsi plant on Bobby Jones and would ride my bike up here to see movies starting in the late 70s. Saw so many movies here. Last time I went was Thanksgiving Day 1999, my sisters wanted to see some Julia Roberts movie that was playing, and I went and saw the Martin Lawrence movie Blue Streak.
I would go down and eat at the Del Taco at the other end of the parking lot and go see a movie……..
Some notable movies I recall seeing here were The Final Countdown, Red Dawn, Battle Beyond the Stars, Return of the Jedi on a re-release.
They have the opening date wrong. Summer of 1999 I lived in that small row of duplexes behind the BP in front of the mall, and would often walk over to the old Exchange 12 theater, they were still showing first run movies there. I am pretty sure this theater opened in November of 1999.
