i agree with bob, where are you located and what are you looking for. i have 10 years of cinema operations under my belt and have been a one man show at my last 2 very buisy locations
well the theater itself was once a great movie palace and as is so usual these days there cut up twinned tripled and so on, the great old features are replaced by cookie cutter shapes and colors. this story is very much about the ghosts of the past, but i went the multiplex route becuse creaky old houses or theaters are cliche
its a ghost story and scary and not in a wait till the last 7 mins way like paranormal activity, but at its core what we tried to put out there was the love and power these old buildings have. and in an age of disney digital 3-d surround sound mega size soda 20 dollar ticket prices is the simple joys of a scratched 35mm print of an old monster movie and a balcony to watch it from
i shot and cut the clip to look and feel like those great old grindhouse teasers. drop me a line with you feelings on the project. we have all our ducks in a row but funding is harsh in these economic times
well ted owns the theater, im simply a friend with 10 years of running movie theaters that are owned by those who shy away from special events so i offered my services to attract as many as i can down for some late october fun. these classic shows are a blast and 2 few are available in jersey
all 3 are 35mm presentations none of the dvd garbage so many are trying to pass these days, the theater itself is the last nickelodeon in the state family owned and operated
pitman did aay with films to add more childrens plays, but when you dont book films people want to see then put them at times people are not home from work how are you to make money
ventnor just sits rotting, wildwood is open but why bother and cape may is far from the theater i run now and the town doesnt respect it…who knows
