That theater was a bandbox. I would have made one of the smallest theaters in a cineplex. Could it have had more than 100 seats in there? It is now where the current Entemanns bakery outlet. Last movie that I saw there was “Zombie”. I think it was a George Romero flix.
i caught a brief glimpse passing by the other day, the former theatre appeared to be some kind of discount food outlet, i didnt catch a name so cannot verify that it is still an entenmann’s bakery outlet.
i recall it being a sub-par theatre,constructed cheaply.even the popcorn was lousy.
There are two former Jerry Lewis Theatres still open in North Jersey—the Valleyview Twin in Wayne, and the Kinnelon 1-2-3 in Kinnelon (a.k.a. Meadtown Cinema).
This one closed over 15 years ago. It’s now an Entemann’s outlet bakery. It had a small parking lot, maybe 30 cars. In 1987 the United Artists Multiplex (near the garbage dump), opening, killing it and many other smaller area theatres. In 1983 I saw an Eddie Murphy double feature of 48HRS and Trading Places. It was always a single screen venue but had first run movies.

Jerry’s policy of showing only PG/PG-13 films was doomed from the start. By the mid 70s most if not all the theatres were either closed or sold.
This theatre was in Mariner’s Harbor.
I think there was also one in Rockaway Park, NY that later became a XXX before becoming the Surfside Twins. Now it’s closed.
I don’t know about Staten Island location but the three on Long Island in East Meadow (later the East Meadow Fliks) is now retail,
the Massapequa Park is now a Harrow’s (on Sunrise Highway) and the Lake Ronkonkoma was just recently gutted (in later years a X rated film house) but the turnstyle and lobby hadn’t been demolished yet. All 3 were part of shopping centers and exterior walls show where the exits were for all three locations.
