I never got to Carlisle during my trip to Gettysburg, but do plan to go sometime in ‘07. I had forgotten that you posted having worked at the Carlisle. It’s an easy theatre to find on CT when all you have to do is type the word Carlisle and only theatre comes up.

Norelco: I plan to see this theatre, in person, mid November. Also a ‘still being used’ historical fire station near the Carisle Fairgrounds.

You are right Patsy, a long time ago I used to work the Carlise Theatre. During the day I would help my friends short order cooking at the Carlise fairgrounds, and at night I would work the theatre 2 nights a week to give old Marshall Klien a break. Marshall was the projectionist there for 30 or so years, I remember the booth had simplex E-7 projectors, and peerless magnarc lamps, RCA sound, and to get to the booth you had to go 2 doors down the street up the steps, and through a beauty salon to get to it. It was always one of my favorites.
Your Friend,
Norelco

This art deco theatre would be a must-see when in Carlisle for Corvettes of Carlisle. Old theatres and old Corvettes….a great combo!
