The theatre is reopening on May 23, 2014 as the Apple Cinemas Waterbury 10. It will be operated by the same people who run the Apple Cinemas in Cambridge, Mass.
Shouldn’t this be listed as closed and demolished since, while the old Paramount was at one time a movie theatre it is now totally gone, and the new Paramount has never been a movie theatre?

The 1929 date may be when this theatre became the Capitol. A Victoria Theatre is listed at 47 E Main St. in the 1922-23 city directory.
Address was 150 E Liberty St.
Opened 1937, closed 1956. Reopened in 1968 a the Lyric II before closing again in 1978.

Looks like this was restored and reopened in 2012 as rehearsal space and space for small productions.
