Status should be closed. After seeing that their website had not been updated and phones disconnected I contacted the local Chamber of commerce. I was informed that the cinema closed over a year ago.
Andy, it’s not difficult to have Kodachrome slides digitized. There are many places to do it inexpensively, such as Walgreens. Then you can upload them to the site.
Andy Gray it would be nice to see these pictures you mention. You can have them digitized and then uploaded to this site. I’ve done that many times. Thanks.
The theatre is permanently closed. It has a new owner and all the interior furnishings are being sold off. Looks like a gut rehab with no plans to do any kind of theatre activities. Check out the website link for info.
The building at that address is the Bristol Town Hall. It appears to have been a repurposing of the old theatre, so function should be government, municipal.
They are still trying to carry on as a live performance venue. Currently, a fund-raising effort is in place to make up for lost revenue due to the pandemic. http://www.savethelasalle.com/
Some interesting changes being made to the building and a good history piece here. https://onmilwaukee.com/articles/park-theater-biltrite-spelunking?fbclid=IwAR1weumuXkS4FR5mlvtW2h0TZuxaoeOmcBXNl2QD5vA45tKsF1Dxi_AJC8s
Google Streetview of 2013 shows the facade of the former theatre still sporting the marquee and blade sign.
The city was supposedly named by an Army surveyor who found an old rusted axe at an abandoned campsite at the junction of 2 trails.
Website: https://lidotheaterdallas.business.site/ The “theatre” such as it is, appears to be a peep show viewing room.

Google Streetview of June 2019 shows the theatre as pretty much still intact, with marquee, blade sign, poster boxes and foyer. Just like it’s asleep.
Google Streetview of August 2019 shows the building for sale and seemingly unopen.
Luis, there is an auditorium picture on the website. Also many pictures on their Facebook page. No historical shots, though.
