Great doors are still here. Wonderful. Lots of original detail for this historic gem. Put the marquee back someone. Ceiling in auditorium and wall designs are beautiful. Windows in auditorium are also beautiful. Someday it all may return to show business glory.
Nice ceiling detail and lighting and of course colors. Hope this single screen continues for years to come. Is the original Ziegfeld Theatre still intact? I have not been to NYC. Hope to go there some day.
I forgot to mention another superior theatre in Seattle. The Cinerama. Built in the 60’s and restored and the best technology. Huge curved cinerama screen and stars in the curved ceiling. Truly unique. Not a megaplex look here and a single screen in downtown Seattle where the real estate is quite expensive. Check it out. A true treasure. I think one should treasure all single screen movie theatres though. The Zeigfeld especially in that valuable real estate market.
This theatre is attractive but a little dull. Red velvet does not impress me. Yes the restored movie palaces of Los Angeles do. Like the Million Dollar-etc. Seattle has a recent smaller theatre called the Majestic Bay that is lovely with a working blue waterfall curtain and crystal lighting now. The best sound and screen too. Know the Ziegfeld is unique in that so many theatres in that city have been torn down. The original Ziegfeld was wonderful. Yes be glad a single screen theatre still exists there. Oh Check out the restored Kings. Now there is the best! Cheers!
Large and dramatic building with an Egyptian quality to the exterior. Was a masonic hall originaly. Proscenium was remodeled into a bright and handsome Egyptian style. Seattle had an earlier Egyptian theatre from the 30’s. Converted to retail like many superior older buildings. This one is an important save so lets enjoy it. Could be far worse.
My opinion here is that the colors are good and nice to have a curtain if it is used but the whole place looks like a large megaplex auditorium. Compare it to a classic theatre from the 30’s. Not possible. Zero unique qualities. Forget it.
Very nice interior and curved wide screen. For a modern theatre it rocks.
Great art deco marquee and blade sign. All classic 40’s.
An art deco beauty. Love the ceiling decoration. Great.
Nice blade signage. Good colors on building too and great to keep original box office even if not in use. Saves the integrity of the architecture.
Must have been a fun place. A any interior pics?
So beautiful! Ceiling is great.
Terrible to gut a decor like this. Detail is amazing.
Tragic to cover this beautiful facade. Should add to the look of the whole town. Silly to say the least. Nice marquee too.
One of the most elegant theatres in the country. Ceiling dome and detail is wonderful.
Very grand indeed with that elaborate ceiling and wall detail. Nice proscenium too.

Elegant theatre and great proscenium. Curtain looks beautiful too. Should have been saved.
Tragedy to let a handsome theatre and building like this get ruined. Must have been wonderful in its youth.
Blade signage is deco and building has a lot of moderne touches. Beautiful brick work. Great building with lots of soul.

Such amazing detail and in good repair. A treasure!

Great marquee and sign and exterior. Proscenium is nice too and gilt and details.

Not a succesful looking theatre but a very interesting looking pic. Great marquee too. Love the light and shadows in the pic.
