Later this year will mark 5 years since the theater was renovated. I haven’t been to this theater since I saw “National Treasure 2”. Is 4k projection going to be installed in all screens soon? As for the theater itself, it’s Morris County’s version of the Tenplex. Did this theater during its time as a single screen had 70mm projection?

Later this year marks the 10th anniversary of when this theater was closed and then transformed into a shopping center. Did this theater have 70mm projection in the center auditorium?

Last week marked 10 years since this theater closed down. It was at the time the oldest movie theater in town and showed its age once Clifton Commons opened. Did this theater ever had 70mm projection and dolby sound during its operation?

I think since the theater opened, “Titanic” had the longest run of any movie in its history.

What movie holds the record for longest run at this theater JJD? I would think of “Avatar”, “Dark Knight”, and any blockbuster that had long legs.

Will this theater upgrade to digital 3d? Then this theater could show 3-D films again. I used to go by the theater when it was open on the way to work at the workshop Abilities of NWJ which is near Route 31. Has that old time feel. As for its location, it’s right between Mansfield to the right and Pohatcong to the left. It’s a shame that Warren County has three theaters left, which places it in third place behind Sussex’s 2 (Newton and Sparta) and Morris with a lot.

next year marks 5 years since the theater was closed and nearly 5 years since the theater was demolished. I never been to this theater compared with the tenplex. This was the second theater to open near the plaza, as the first one was a drive-in theater that was Paramus' only drive-in.

How does this theater compare to all the other Clearview cinema locations? Is it the de facto Clearview cinema? What movie had the longest run at this theater?

Movies usually last longer at this theater than other nearby theaters. Has Clearview upgraded the digital projection at this theater and others to 4k? Would be nice to see Clearview match up with AMC, Regal, and Cinemark on showing pictures in higher than HD content.

I agree. 3D makes those movies look more realistic and fun to watch alongside the digital surround sound. Remember smell-o-vision, JJD? They should bring it back and maybe D-box seats could come to rockaway (they can be bought for home use but at a price).

I read online that 300 will be converted into 3D in the near future…the director said that the conversion of the first 10 mintues of the film looked pretty good, as the director, Zack Snyder, has his next movie, “Sucker Punch”, to come out in 3D. I also read online that the new “Shrek” got bad rep from those who seen it at the Tribeca Film Festival. Also worth noting is that the movie “The Back-Up Plan”, like “Wolverine”, is avaiable to download for free online. Looks like a slow box office weekend with no new good movies. Maybe Iron Man 2 will save the box office in two weeks.

Check this link out…http://www.movietickets.com/house_detail.asp?house_id=10328&rdate=5%2F7%2F2010
btw, AMC Select is now called AMC Independent for indie films. I’ll probably see Iron Man 2 in digital rather than the Digital IMAX as the IMAX will be a windowed-boxed version of the widescreen film as the film wasn’t shot with imax cameras.

The last 3-D movie I saw on DVD at home was “Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over”, which was released in red-and-blue 3D in theaters and was one of the last old 3-D movies made in that format (“Sharkboy and Lavagirl” also comes to mind even thought I didn’t see it). The last IMAX 3-D movie I saw was L5: First city in Space, which was a short movie. I never saw a long IMAX 3-D movie before, if there’s one I want to see, it might be “Tron Legacy”. FYI, Phish 3-D is coming out next weekend for all those rock fans. I’m sure it will sell well. I’m glad that AMC didn’t raise ticket prices for 2D 35mm and digital showings.

I remember reading those pop-up books. When I grew up, I found where they made it go pop up. The first 3-D movie I saw as a kid wasn’t in the theater but one of those chiller feature movies edited for TV called “The Mask” as well as “Creature from the Black Lagoon”, both of which were taped off Channel 11 in the 1980’s and preserved for me and my classmates at a classroom party for Halloween back in the early 90’s. The glasses had the 11 Alive logo on them (red and blue) and I hated them because the images wouldn’t pop up. I have a tape of “The Mask” complete with 3-D glasses and hosted by Elvira. 3-D has come a long way since then.

I know. I wonder how it would affect live 3D concerts and sporting events as they might add realism to them.
