The Forrest Theatre was operated by the Bailey Theaters chain which catered to the local African-American community during the 1950’s. It had opened by 1950 and was still operating in 1959, but had closed by 1960. The Forrest Theatre was demolished in the early-1960’s.
The original name and address was 245 Forrest Avenue NE which is in the Old Fourth Ward district to the northeast of Downtown.
