Located in the village of Market Lavington to the south of Devizes, Wiltshire. It was on the High Street, opposite the Workmen’s Hall. The Parish Room was opened on 27th November 1908. It was a wooden building, designed by a Mr. Lee. It was used for public meetings, dances and entertainments, which later included cinema use from 1931 to 1944.
By 1996 the building was well past its ‘sell by date’ and was demolished in April 1996 and a nursing home was built on the site. A new Community Hall was built at the other end of the High Street.
