Located alongside the River Ness, in Inverness city centre, the Palace Cinema opened in 1939. It was owned by New Cinema (Inverness) Ltd. which later became a subsidiary of Caledonian Associated Cinemas Ltd. chain. It had a proscenium 28ft wide, a screen 20ft by 18ft and a café.
In January 1963 film shows ended, and the building became a bingo club. This closed in 2006, and was due to be demolished in late-2010.
It had been demolished by the time I visited, in June 2016, by which time a Premier Inn hotel occupied the site.
