The address would be E. Stuart St. & Indian Hills Circle it is now housing.
I believe the address your listing if for the Foothills Drive-In, the same as the map you have posted. The Sunset was located three blocks off of 287 on Matthews which is now Spring Creek Park.
Here is what I have found: In looking at my information there was an only two drive-in theatres in Fort Collins. There is the Sunset and the Holiday (which is open and listed on CT). No Foothills Drive-In is listed. In looking at TOPO maps it does not show a drive-in theatre at the park location. But it shows one beside it. In looking at the Rivest theatre site he does have an aerial picture on the drive-in that I have the TOPO map of. Rivest has the Sunset listed at 1800 Matthews St as the address. I don’t think that is the correct address. You have to remember over the years that some addresses have changed. This is my thinking. CC44 do you live in the area? It would be a good research project at the local library.
I don’t know what the rivest site is, but display ads for the Sunset Drive-In in the Coloradoan list the Sunset Drive-in at 1800 Matthews. And yes Fort Collins did have a third drive-in listed in the display ads.
Okay..do some research and submit it to CT. Post some of the drive-in movie ads.
Here is Rivest
From the Coloradoan – 1 Apr 2016:
“Fort Collins' drive-in history:
The Fort Collins area had, at one point, three drive-in movie theaters. In the mid-1960s, the Pines Drive-in opened south of Fort Collins on the west side of Highway 287 near County Road 30. It closed in the mid-1980s. The Holiday Twin Drive-In opened as The Starlight in 1968 and The Sunset Drive-In used to be located on Stuart Street near Indian Hills Circle."
