Lincoln Theatre

The Lincoln Theatre was opened by January 1928 with seating listed at 275. The Lincoln Theatre was an African-American theatre. It was initially operated by the Blumenthal Circuit. B&B Theatre Corp. operated the Lincoln Theatre from 1961 thru closing in 1975. The building is now home to Thompson & Sons Barber College.

I cannot find the grand opening date, but the earliest attraction I can find is a January 18, 1928 attraction for “Aunt Dinah” and “Glover And Snooks”. The hunt still continues.

The building at 218 N Dargon St is indeed a barber college, but the above picture is now an architectural firm located at 155 N Dargon. Which one is the theater?
