The Ritz Theatre was the larger of the three African American theatres in the Berkley aera of Norfolk. It was open as early as December 1940 with seating listed at 610. The Ritz Theatre was closed in the early-1960’s.

Local architect Alfred L. Lublin transformed a hardware and furniture store into an art deco theatre in 1939 for Glasco Corp. Circuit.

Needs to be listed as demolished. Proper address should be on E Liberty.
