The Maxine Theater opened on June 29, 1914 with Anita Stewart in “A Million Bid”. It is no longer a theater, but the building still stands and is used for retail purposes.

The Maxine opened June 29,1914 with 800 seats. The architect was H. Spann. On April 15,1928 it was remodeled and reopened as the New Maxine.

This theater closed on April 29,1950, becoming a market, later a drug store in the 1980s,
Later a rental center.
