Capitol Theatre

The Capitol Theatre was built in 1927 by Thomas Conway. It was destroyed by fire in February 1964.

At that time a local paper announced plans to rebuild on the same location. Re-construction was finished and the new theatre was named Playhouse Theatre (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures).

I remember this place as an underage night club, I never knew it was once a movie theater, but I had attended the club a number of times, and I even remember seeing a concert there…
