A conversion of an auto dealership. The Tower Theatre was opened July 2, 1941 seating 750. It stood on Virginia Street near Pine Street. It has been demolished and has since been replaced by a new building.

The Tower Theatre was located on Virginia St., between Liberty and Pine. A Wells Fargo Bank highrise is now at that site.

What a great photo! Looks nothing like that now. Wells Fargo Bank/highrise takes up that entire block. Thanks for your posting!

This history via Phillip L. Sublett: The Tower Theater (formerly the Scott Motors Building, the largest auto showroom in Nevada), was open from July 3, 1941, to May 20, 1959, on property leased from Onslow S. Dodd’s Ryland estate. Read more about the Dodd-Ryland properties here:
