The Fork Union Drive-In opened around 1953. This single screen drive-in had a capacity for 180 cars. It was closed at the end of the 2013 season.

I believe it’s still run by the daughter of the original owner. Very nicely-kept place that does great business in the summer. You should see the restrooms though: two little cinderblock huts (they look like outhouses) with a toilet and sink per!
The last I heard, the Fork Union did not open for the 2014 season—-perhaps they couldn’t afford digital projectors.
