ca. 1915 projection equipment

Hello folks: I am helping to rehab a theatre built in 1914 to show silent movies. I found a 1923 listing of the equipment that was in the theatre at the time, and the list included “1 superlit screen,” “2 powers 6-A projectors,” “2-1 sheet adv. magazine,” and “1 rewind.” I can figure out the rewind, but I’m wondering if anyone on this list can tell me more about the screen, projectors, and adv. machine.

Thanks!

The Powers 6A projector was a top of the line projector from the time as it featured variable speed and optical adjustments. There was one for sale a while back on Ebay.

The 1 sheet advance, if I remember correctly, was used to help advance into the projection the single sheet adverts like “Ladies, please remember to remove your hats”, etc into the light of the projection system.
