Anybody know when it was reissued in the NYC area around 1968 or 1969 please? Channel 31, NYC ran it this weekend and it brings back some great childhood moviegoing memories.
Thanks Much.

There was a wide release starting September 6, 1968 on a double feature with THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN.
MGM also had another double feature release of “The Dirty Dozen”, because National Screen Service had posters available on it.
Didn’t THE DIRTY DOZEN open on June 15th, 1967 at the Capitol and the 34th Street East?
Yes, it opened at the Capitol in 70MM on June 16th. 1967, it had it’s World Premiere on the 15th..
I rememer when I saw this movie i natlantic City at the Apollo, it was shown in lfat after all the adds showed it beinf filemd in panavision. Was it supposed to be flat or scope?
The Dirty Dozen was playing at the LOEWS VENDOME when they had a fire that closed the theatre in August 1967,located on Church street in Nashville, Tennessee.
I had read a remake was set.Plez tell me I heard wrong!!!!
First run at the IMPERIAL THEATRE in Augusta. Showed at 12:30, 3:15 6:00 and 8:45.
Dirty DOZEN and THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN. what a double feature. Can’t make it up.
FYI:
THE DIRTY DOZEN did open on June 15,1967 at the Capitol and the 34th Street East in New York City.
It also opened at either the Uptown Theatre, The Avalon Theatre or the Cinema on the same day in Washington, DC.
The film opened in selected markets in larger cities on June 15,1967,but it didn’t open nationwide until July of 1967,the week during Independence Day.
FACT: The film was a huge boxoffice hit and it had some very tough competition too for the fight of the summer boxoffice of 1967….it’s rival?….the sixth film of the James Bond-007 series YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE was the second boxoffice draw too which made these two movies the highest grossing films of that year.
