Photograph of the stand alone paybox at entrance of the Empire, this was a design mostly used in the USA and architect Thomas Lamb who had previously been responsible for other Loew’s theatres in America used here in London. The paybox survived intact until the MGM closure of the Empire Theatre in 1961.
