Yes they are still queueing round the block for ‘Gone with the Wind’ at 9.40 am. according to the clock on Dolcis shoe shop. It appears that the morning shows were at the Ritz cinema, that was below the Empire. I remember when I was a student going to the Ritz with fellow students to a Garbo season, in those days I didn’t know who she was. The two soldiers walking towards us remind you that the War was yet to start. Here also is a bit of Social History all you see in the picture has gone!!!
