That was the Gladstone Hall upstairs - pretty much the same size as the movie theater downstairs but the movie theater was more ornate inside and no windows. The seating in the upstairs hall were all removed and the floor leveled and it became a popular reception Hall - many dances - Wedding Receptions - Political Meetings etc. The movie theater was probably the nicest of all the theaters in the Northeast part of KCMO
