Sallows and Hughes Amusement Enterprises Circuit launched the New Theatre in Bridgeport on September 25, 1927 with Mildred Davis in “Too Many Crooks.” Customers were impressed with the Robert Morton pipe organ. On December 9, 1927, the theatre was named the Trail Theatre.
