The Plaisance Theatre was opened in 1914, got ice cooling in the auditorium for its 20th anniversary in 1934, and got new Kroehler seating for the 25th anniversary pictured here in 1939.

This is how I remember the theatre in the late 1940’s and early 50’s. Nice to see it again.
