Mr. and Mrs. Jack Knicely open the Fort Theatre on October 28, 1950 with Charles Starrett in “Trail of the Rustlers” supported by a Superman serial, a comedy short and a cartoon. This is page two of a double truck cooperative ad by local merchants (so, no, the Fort Theatre, itself, isn’t a great place to live but the town of Harrisburg is said to be).
